The Republican Party has made its choice. As an American I am pleased with the way our democracy has unfolded but shocked with its result. I am not so much shocked that Mr. Trump has advanced to the point of being the presumed republican nominee as I am to learn that over 10,000,000 Americans believe in isolationist, misogynist, racist, xenophobic and generally hateful rhetoric as a way to advance our great republic.
